COVID19

Due to the need to ensure that our gites are fully aired and disinfected between all guests we have decided to block an additional night at the end of each reservation.  This means that the minimum booking is now 4 nights, anything less is simply not economically viable for us.

 

2021 forward booking special payment terms offer:

Direct bookings for holidays due to take place in 2021, that are agreed between September and December 2020 will benefit from the following exceptional payment terms:

1. 10% of the rental will be due to confirm the booking

2. 30% of the rental will be due by 1st February 2021

3. 30% of the rental will be due 60 days prior to the booked arrival date in 2021

4. 30% of the rental will be due in cash on arrival at the gite

5. Non-payment of rental by the due dates above will be treated as a non-refundable cancellation by you of the booking

 

Exceptional circumstances amendment to our terms & conditions

Due to concerns that the coronavirus causes massive disruption to travel we have decided to extend a re-booking offer to any of our direct booking guests whose gite rental is disrupted due to Covid19

Our re-booking offer will be available to all guests who already hold or subsequently make a confirmed booking direct with us for a gite rental due to take place during 2020

This offer will apply if your gite rental cannot take place due to COVID19 for one of the following reasons:

 

1 - Local prefecture restrictions prevent gite owners in Brittany from letting their premises to holiday-makers.

2 - French government restrictions legally prevent entry into France for holiday purposes.

3 - Residents of the country where the guests live are legally prevented from travelling out of that country.

4 - Immediately prior to the booked rental period the guests are unable to travel following written medical instructions due to infection of one or more of the guests by COVID19.

5 - Immediately prior to the booked rental period the guests are unable to travel following written medical instructions due one or more of the guests having unusually low immunity to the virus.

6 - Cancellation by service providers of all ferries, flights or trains to and from France meaning guests who cannot drive to France are unable to reach Brittany for their booked rental period.

 

If your gite rental cannot take place as booked due to COVID19 we will issue you with a re-booking voucher for the gite rental you have paid to us as at the date you contact us.  

The voucher can be used in full or partial payment to re-book your choice of any of our gites for any available dates for 18 months after the date your booking should have started.  

If you have only paid us the non-refundable booking deposit when you contact us to re-book:

The outstanding balance on your re-booking will be due 60 days prior to your re-booked arrival date.

If you have already paid us the total due for your gite rental when you contact us to re-book:

1. No further payment will be due if you chose to re-book a period with the same seasonal pricing - for instance you had booked a week in spring and re-book for autumn.

2. If you chose to re-book a period with a higher seasonal pricing the outstanding amount will be due 60 days prior to your re-booked arrival date.

If you chose not to accept our re-booking offer, or you select a re-booking with a lower seasonal pricing, or you chose to cancel or request rescheduling of your booking for reasons related to your personal concerns about Covid19 or due to isolation required by your country of residence following travel abroad, our existing cancellation terms & conditions, as referred to and agreed to when booking, will apply.

If you have chosen to book and make payment via a third party advertiser, we agree to amend your reservation to alternative dates, subject to availability, but we cannot amend whatever payment terms you have agreed with the third party, without their prior agreement.

 

If none of the above re-booking reasons apply to you, we will endeavour to be sympathetic to your personal situation and will supply documentation detailing your booking for you to claim against your travel insurance.
